Responsible for accounting and tax activities in the Netherlands and the UK, including but not limited to AP, AR Cash Receipts, General Ledger analysis/reconciliation, financial analysis, and tax advice.

The position is based in our UK location (London), not remote but maybe hybrid.

Role Description

We are looking for a responsible individual to be involved in a wide range of general accounting and tax duties. Required knowledge in a variety of areas, including but not limited to; accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, G/L and statement analysis, taxes, and coordination of general ledger documentation. Must be able to pivot between different duties and adhere to deadlines. Must have excellent analytical skills, be detail orientated, work well under pressure, and meet deadlines. This position requires a self-starter who will report directly to the Finance Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Processing AR and AP invoices for High Point Solutions BV
  • Dealing with Customer/Vendor portals, including setup and queries
  • Preparing reports for HMRC and Belastungsdienst, including VAT UK, VAT NL, ESL, Intrastat Arrivals, Intrastat Dispatches
  • Tax advice on new deals billed or shipped outside the UK
  • Claiming Customer’s Rebates
  • Working very closely with the AMs and advising them on potential issues with deals
  • Troubleshooting on all levels – SO, invoicing, deal creation, portal issues
  • Verifies and accurately applies cash receipts to customer accounts
  • File, copy, and scan as needed for internal and external controls
  • Identifies and resolves potential accounting discrepancies in supporting documentation with a manager; follows up to ensure timely and accurate posting of receipts and payments
  • Maintains all documentation in an organized manner
  • Maintains files and records of all postings
  • Confirms all listings on the Aged Receivable and Payables are correct
  • Ensures adherence to established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, and safety standards
  • Provides ad hoc reporting on various accounts as needed by management, including excel support and preparation of labels for files
  • Actively looks for means to improve efficiency and accuracy of all accounting functions
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by the manager
  • Understands and maintains Accounting System and accurately enters required data


Five years of Indirect Tax, AR, AP, Cash receipts, and reconciliation experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities. Accounting degree preferred, but not essential; willing to train—knowledge of Dutch preferred but not essential.
