Sparta, NJ – July 30, 2013 – HighPoint announced today that it has achieved FlexPod Premium Partner status. FlexPod, a data center platform co-developed by Cisco and NetApp, is being rapidly adopted worldwide to deploy virtualized private clouds. Since its launch in November 2010, FlexPod has been deployed in more than 1,050 data centers to provide the foundation for mission-critical workloads such as desktop virtualization, database hosting, business critical applications, and big data analysis.
This unique designation requires the selection from both Cisco and NetApp, as well as rigorous training, certifications, and demonstration and lab capabilities. Only organizations with a strong data center focus and a fully developed FlexPod strategy with history of successful deployments receive admittance. HighPoint’s data center practice met these stringent requirements and has also deployed the technology internally to support its proof of concept lab and customer demo environment.
FlexPod enables today’s data center managers that are faced with budget constraints, and being asked to deliver more mission-critical applications with a flexible, agile, centrally managed and cost-effective platform. This integrated architecture leverages best of breed products including Cisco UCS Servers, Cisco Nexus Switching, and NetApp FAS storage. FlexPod has been pre-validated by these manufacturers in a wide array of data center scenarios. Holding true to its name FlexPod delivers a truly flexible architecture providing a secure, multi-tenant, hypervisor agnostic, private cloud solution.
