Infrastructure Delivery Engineer

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Engineer to join our dynamic team as an Infrastructure
Delivery Engineer. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical expertise in network architecture, configuration, and troubleshooting, combined with excellent communication and project management skills. They are also required to be certified (as a minimum) to CCNP level.

The Infrastructure Delivery Engineer is responsible for the planning, designing and implementation of projects and solutions to achieve the Customer’s technological and business requirements. This role is predominantly a customer delivery focused role and will be billable. This role requires the Infrastructure Delivery Engineer to be certified (as a minimum) to CCNP Route/Switch or equivalent.

Role Description:

This role will be primarily responsible for the planning, designing and implementation of projects and
solutions to achieve the Customer’s technological and business requirements. This role is predominantly a customer delivery focused role and will be billable. This role will include the upskilling of the engineer in Arista Network skills, with a view to support our customers with Arista solutions across various industry verticals (though with a particular focus on financial services organisations).

Key Responsibilities

Perform delivery activities for Customer projects, including, but not limited to:

    • Lead customer design workshops, evaluating design options and solutions to finalize design principles
    • Develop a Requirements Capture document detailing the customer’s technical and business
      requirements
    • Develop a High-Level Design of the technical solution specifications
    • Develop a Low-Level Design against the agreed requirements
    • Develop the technical implementation/migration plan
    • Develop the network test & system plan
    • Stage, Implement & configure the solutions as per approved designs and implementation plans
    • Test & commission the solution as per approved test plans
    • Develop & execute service transition plans/handover
    • As required, train customer technical & operations personnel
    • Work with the assigned Project Managers to ensure successful delivery and capture and changes/deviations in scope

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Network Engineer or similar technical/project delivery role.
  • Expertise in networking protocols, routing and switching as a minimum.
  • Strong knowledge of networking hardware, software, and technologies from vendors like Cisco, Juniper, etc.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, CCDP, JNCIE, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working for or with a VAR, systems integrator or MSP
  • Familiarity with scripting/automation (e.g., Python, Ansible) is a plus.
  • Specialisations in other vendor technologies and architectures, Arista in particuar is a plus
